Yesterday I braved the cold grey day with layers of clothes and took Eve for an outing to my friends place to ride together. We both had our children so the shed was a good place to park the kids up in front of the laptop with a barbie movie ....snacks and a promise that we wouldn't be long.
Eve hadn't been to this place before so she was a bit 'amped' for want of a better word. We rode around the race track and of course the horses in the middle were very curious . Naturally they galloped over for a good look. I was somewhat nervous about the whole situation ...but swallowed some brave pills and got on. We walked a couple of laps then into a trot. It was good to just have space to keep going, and not worry about gates, traffic, etc. Eve got pretty hot ( haven't clipped her yet and must!!!!) and due to the approaching late afternoon and the cold we didn't do too much more. I hosed her off and gave her a really good towel dry. Then on with her new polar fleece rug. It is a really nice fit and kept her warm while the girls rode Holly's new minture pony Cindy. The whole time the sky lloked an angry grey....but thankfully didn't come to anything. Was a nice feeling to be out doing 'STUFF'

You are perfectly brave! Loved hearing about all that horsey- stuff!
That ponies clip is adorable. Yes, isn't amazing how they sweat, with the furr! I always get criticised by my barn folk for travel clipping Wa, but I can't put her up wet!
Loved this!
