I live on the edge of my family farm that for generations has been the venue for riding horses, dating back to my greatgrandfather who was the first master of the local Hunt Club. It is now where I enjoy riding and training my horses. This blog is now the story of Hokey Pokey, my Gypsy cob cross bred pony.

a crazy week
The last week has been a rough one .....my Dad is in hospital .....tumour on his kidney. He has one operation this week unrelated to the kidney, although they will do a biopsy on the tumour. My Grandma is also in the same hospital .....broken hip and then a heart attack .....I bought the two young horses home tonight to discover one has ringworm (I think - pretty sure). Sooooo great!!!!!. Now I have to treat that ....in amongst the rain. My horse float has a wheel gone wonkey .....so that has to go to the garage to be fixed ......and just to top it all off I backed into my husbands car (Yes it made a good mess!!!!!). BIG sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!. This week has to be better!

Best wishes to your family, hope things pick up soon! Keep your chin up Lass!
Very sorry to hear your family news - sending best wishes to all of you.
Oh Sally! things come in waves, don't they? Hope everything works out for your grandma and dad. My dad had a kidney tumor about 7 years ago. He had an operation and he's been fine since. The recovery is hard because the inscision is so long and around the side of the body, so it takes a while to heal. Hang in there!
While your busy worrying about everyone and eveything else...don't forget to take care of you.
Hugs , and hopes for a better week
Geez, Sally, that's a lot of stuff to deal with. Hope things turn around soon.
